A hardy perennial herb for an outdoor plot. Sturdy, erect foliage with thick wall stems of very good flavour. Matures quickly in the autumn and can be used for forcing. Chives resemble hollow blades of grass, are the smallest member of the onion family and have a mild onion flavour that is useful for garnishes and egg dishes.

Directions
Sow in early spring in a shallow drill not too thickly and cover with fine soil. Water well. Harvest anytime once established by cutting off the green shoots 5cm (2”) above the ground. The plants will die down in the autumn and re-appear the following early spring.
